Bio-Care’s Privacy Policy
Bio-Care Inc. ® is committed to ensuring that your private information remains private. Below is an outline of our privacy policy so that you can understand our continuing commitment to ensuring that your information remains secure and private.
What information does Bio-Care collect from me?
Bio-Care collects biographical, health history and medical testing results and information from clients. You are asked to provide personal and confidential information to be used to promote health and safety testing programs. Many of these programs are regulated by State and Federal laws, which are legally required and supported by you and your employer.
How does Bio-Care Collect information about me?
Bio-Care has developed data collection techniques, which greatly eliminates human error. Scannable data collection forms, integrated medical and laboratory screening tests with electronic data import processes are a few of the data collection techniques applied.
How does Bio-Care use my information?
Bio-Cares primary goal is to provide valid and reliable testing results to you and your employer. Bio-Care uses the data collected within a health and safety program and compares the result to normative or regulatory testing criteria. The final results are then provided to you and your employer.
Reporting of final results . .
Some, but not all, personal information collected within a health and safety program is reported to the employer. Your employer, in many cases, will be provided a “pass or fail” conclusion to your testing program. In the case where additional testing is requested to conclude a testing program, the employer will be notified about the request without the reasoning for the additional testing request. Please view our reporting formats within our website.
How does Bio-Care protect my identity?
Bio-Care and its clients (employers) use the information collected to monitor health and safety programs. Bio-Care makes every attempt to limit identifiable and personal health history information within its reports. Identifiable information collected by Bio-Care is considered personal and confidential. Bio-Care cannot market to any third party any identifiable data collected within the health and safety testing programs. Data is stored at a secured site within Bio-Care Inc.® office in Lansing, Michigan.
How does Bio-Care secure my information?
Unfortunately, no data transmitted over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100%. Bio-Care has incorporated server and website encryption technologies, virus scanning products, and user-password access to protect the data and communication links. Data transmission is secured by GeoTrust.
How can you access your information?
Reports on any testing performed are sent to you. Your employer also receives a copy of these reports to be placed within your medical record file. You have the right to request information on your file or to contact us with questions concerning our privacy policy or to make corrections on your file.
